"Olmeca Tortillas"

Our Objective

To stimulate trade and consumer awareness and purchase of Olmeca Tequila, a new tequila brand which did not have the budget for above the line support.

Our Strategy

We created Olmeca Tortilla snacks as a natural and highly appropriate brand extension. Licensees were offered packets of Olmeca Tortilla snacks with each Olmeca Tequila order.

Customers were given a free packet of Olmeca Tortilla for every Olmeca Tequila ordered. To further increase brand awareness, licensees were provided with a selection of point of sale materials including T- shirts, posters and clever little pop up tent cards for their tables.

The Results

The campaign saw Olmeca Tequila stocked by almost 200 outlets and achieved a Market Share Of Just Under 10% with Sales Of 53% Above Target during the promotional period. In fact, the activity was so successful that licensees reported that customers were still asking for a pack of Olmeca Tortilla snacks long after the promotional activity had finished!
